Safer Internet Day 2016 took place in Northern Ireland yesterday with the theme, “Play your part for a better internet!” Please click here to view activities around yesterday’s proceedings.
The PSNI, in co-ordination with the Safeguarding Board for Northern Ireland, have produced a comprehensive guide which will aid professionals and the public in dealing with ‘sexting’ in response to increased reports of these incidents. This includes signposting for referral to the most appropriate agency/agencies in various scenarios.
It is encouraged that this guide is further disseminated to individuals and organisations that may benefit from the information.
The Safeguarding Board NI (SBNI) welcomes the new animated summary of the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority’s (RQIA) Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) developed by Include Youth.

Director, Safeguarding Board for Northern Ireland (SBNI) Sharon Beattie, said:
